MontanaCrossCamp is an excellent opportunity for the country’s best young women and men riders to learn from coach Geoff Proctor, accomplished coaches and each other. Applications for the 2018 Women’s and Men’s camps in Helena, Montana are now being accepted through May 7, 2018.

MontanaCrossCamp is open to Junior 17-18 and U23 women (racing ages 17-22) and men racing age 15-22. The second-annual Women’s camp is June 25-30 and the eighth-annual Men’s camp is July 2-7. The camp takes place at Carroll College in Montana.

Head Coach Geoff Proctor will be joined by rider coaches Kaitie Keough for the Women’s camp and Tobin Ortenblad for the Men’s camp, as well as Scott Herzig and other guest instructors.

MontanaCrossCamp prepares athletes to compete on the international level. As we learned from our interviews at last year’s camp, the training will include plenty of running, drills drawn from Proctor’s diverse background in sport and chances to compete against the country’s best young riders. There will also likely be boatloads of ice cream and chances for young athletes to become friends with their ’cross peers.

More information is available from the MontanaCrossCamp website. The camp costs $900 and athletes must arrange transportation to and from Helena.
