Sven Nys, Niels Albert, Marianne Vos, Lars van der Haar and Kevin Pauwels all talk about the 2013 Louisville World Championships, coming to the States, and their expectations of the course in this video interview at the bottom of this post.

The five Shimano-sponsored racers all have positive things to say about the World Championships coming to the States, and believe the time is right to internationalize the sport at the top level.

Regarding the course, before being able to ride the course, the racers believe the course will be “fast” if not for mud. Van der Haar compares the course to Tabor, but says, “I hope it’s going to be dry, because I heard when it’s wet there, it’s gonna be hell.”

Sven Nys thinks the time is right to go overseas. “We need to do something to invest in our sport out of Belgium,” he says. “And let’s hope to do something in the US and hopefully more international races next year and the years afterwards is going to help.”
