HOOD RIVER, OR – Once again, the eighth annual Hood River Double Cross helps kick off the Oregon cyclocross season.  This year will see a slightly revised version of the classic Hood River Valley High School course on Saturday, September 19th.  The race is pleased to unveil a new course at the Hood River County Fairgrounds for Sunday, September 21st.  Brad Ross from Cross Crusade, the largest bicycle race series in the country, helped design the fairgrounds course.  “I noticed that the Crusade courses have developed over the years to a more Euro-style course.  People really like the traditional course at the high school, it’s very fast and pretty flat, but it’s really more of a short track mountain bike race.  I think the fairgrounds course will have a more polished feel and be a little more spectator friendly.”

Racing begins at 9:00 AM both and there are different categories for racers of all abilities

The race is sponsored in part by Discover Bicycles, 10 Speed Coffee Company, DaKine, Gorge Delights, Double Mountain Brewpub, and Resource Revival.
