Cyclocross season is winding down in much of the U.S. and that means the holiday season, or Crossmas, is upon us. With Thanksgiving relatively late this year, we got on top of things and put together the first of our 2019 Holiday Gift Guides a bit early this year.

We take a look at some items we have personally used and reviewed during the past year we think could make good gifts for the favorite cyclocross and/or gravel enthusiast in your life. Our first guide has a mix of tech items, bikes, stocking stuffers and clothes.

Gore C5 GoreTex Infinium Bib Shorts

We recently reviewed the Gore C5 GoreTex Infinium bib shorts.

This has become a favorite as fall leads into winter, and long rides can go from cold to warm and back to cold. If you race cyclocross, the Infinium fabric is totally windproof but extremely breathable and water resistant. We confirm Gore’s claim which leaves us warmer and drier at the start line when the warmers come off, and comfortable during the race even if its cold without ever feeling bulky or restrictive.

The shorts have the proper fit with a pad that has an excellent position, shape and density with a central pressure relief groove. They have proven very comfortable well beyond the hour race. $199 for a pair of bib shorts this versatile is a great gift, even to yourself.
