Dave Mable is back with Cyclocross Magazine for our coverage of the Trek CX Cup and World Cup Waterloo. Dave again brought his camera along and was doing his best to find shady spots to document Friday's Men's and Women's races.

Friday in Waterloo was hot. Arley Kemmerer compared it to racing on the sun, and at best it was like racing during a mid-July Midwest heat wave. Racers made frequent bike changes to get new water bottles, and the scene at the finish line was one of exhausted riders trying to cool off with cold towels and ice water.

Dave's gallery of photos from Waterloo lets you head out into the heat of Wisconsin from the comfort of your (hopefully) more pleasant confines.

Stay tuned to Cyclocross Magazine for our continuing coverage of the 2017 World Cup Waterloo
