There’s only three more races on the USA Cycling Pro Cyclo-cross Calendar and the standings couldn’t be closer. Jeremy Powers (Rapha-Focus) holds a razor thin 9-point lead over Tim Johnson (Cannondale prepared by Cyclocrossworld.com) and the cyclocross pundits are busy with their slide rules trying to figure out where the overall clinch situations lie. Needless to say, the final two weekends on the Pro CX calendar have created much intrigue. The first two of those final three races are this weekend in Hendersonville, North Carolina, at the North Carolina Grand Prix. Johnson and Powers are both headed down to North Carolina to duke it out over two hard days of racing. We could see a winner in the Pro CX overall, or we could head to the final UCI race in the United States with a race that’s too close to call. Plenty of riders will be in North Carolina hoping to play spoiler, so be sure to check out this week’s BTB TV Weekend Preview to find out what to watch for!
