With his second-straight victory at Charm City Cross in Baltimore, Stephen Hyde (Cannondale p/b CyclocrossWorld) showed that whether or not four-time Cyclocross National Champion Jeremy Powers is present, he is currently the rider to beat.

Hyde did the double under sunny skies, a contrast to yesterday’s Hurricane Mathew-induced rains.

Powers impressively hopped the stairs and held off Dan Timmerman (NoTubes) in a sprint for second.

Sunday’s racing was a UCI C1 event that followed Saturday’s C2 racing, and Jeremy Powers, just like his Aspire teammate Ellen Noble did, opted to save his matches for Sunday’s points haul.
