PARK CITY, UTAH – With the World Championships of cyclocross coming to the USA for the first time at the end of this season, the gamesmanship is already underway. Rainbow hopefuls will begin the season at DealerCamp in two weeks time, racing the Raleigh Midsummer Night’s CX Race in Park City, Utah. Looking for an early season test and some high altitude training, Cannondale p/b Cyclocrossworld racer and six time national champion Tim Johnson has committed to the July event.

Scheduled to face off against career-long rival Jonathan Page, Johnson kicks off a ‘cross season he hopes will be the one to return him to top form, as he was absent from last season.

“Having Tim race at DealerCamp will be both fun and exciting. I suspect it will add a level of intensity to the race. Ben Berden, Jon Page, and Johnson each have something they need to say to the sports world this season, so we’ll see if that voice comes out on the 24th,” opined Christopher Zigmont, race promoter and marketing flack at Lifeboat Events.

The Raleigh Midsummer Night’s Cyclocross Race will be held on July 24 beginning at 4:30 p.m., kicking off Happy Hour at DealerCamp 2012. More information on the race and DealerCamp can be found at bikedealercamp.com.
