New instructional DVD from the creators of Behind THE Barriers teaches Jeremy Powers’ National Championship winning cyclocross technique

EASTHAMPTON, MASSACHUSETTS – Jeremy Powers, professional cyclocross racer for Team Rapha-Focus, and renowned cyclocross videographer Sam Smith are proud to announce their latest collaboration, the Jeremy Powers Cross Camp instructional DVD presented by crankbrothers! Powers and Smith are also pleased to announce Laguna Beach, California-based crankbrothers as a title partner and pedal supplier for the project.

The DVD will be available for digital-download on September 1 and will be shipping in DVD format by October 1. Pre-sales of the DVD are currently available at the Jeremy Powers Cross Camp website:

After two successful seasons working together on the Behind THE Barriers documentary series, Powers and Smith created the Jeremy Powers Cross Camp video to revolutionize the cyclocross instructional video genre. Using top-of-the-line cameras and shooting techniques, Jeremy Powers Cross Camp gives you in-depth instruction on relevant cyclocross techniques as well as exposing viewers to the true beauty that cyclocross can offer.

Jeremy Powers Cross Camp covers everything there is to know about cyclocross. Each technique is instructed and demonstrated by Powers himself. Jeremy takes you through all of his preferred methods that have made him the cyclocross racer he is today. While Jeremy can’t teach you everything there is to know about cyclocross, Jeremy Powers Cross Camp will be your guide through Jeremy’s best and most trusted racing techniques.

The instruction doesn’t end there, however. Powers also takes you behind the scenes to the less glamorous, but equally important, aspects of cyclocross racing. Never put much thought into how to pack for a race? Jeremy will tell you. No idea what to eat or drink on race day? Let Jeremy lead the way.

The Jeremy Powers Cross Camp team is especially happy to welcome crankbrothers into the fold as a title partner, since many of the techniques Powers walks the viewer through hinge on having a great set of pedals.

“It’s really great to have crankbrothers as a part of the Jeremy Powers Cross Camp effort,” said Powers. “I’ve been riding with crankbrothers pedals for years now, and they’re really the best pedals I’ve ever ridden. I learned it’s just as important to have a great set of pedals on your bike when you’re teaching as it is when you’re racing.”

Jeremy Powers Cross Camp is one of the best and easiest ways you can improve on your cyclocross skills. It’s professional level instruction available to everyone. DVD copies of Jeremy Powers Cross Camp are available for $24.99, while a direct digital download will be available at the Jeremy Powers Cross Camp website for $14.99. For $34.99, you can purchase both a hard-copy DVD and digital download from the Jeremy Powers Cross Camp website. Digital downloads will be available on September 1.

I bought the digital download last night and watched the whole thing (about 45 minutes, 2 GB download).

I've been wanting a quality 'cross video for a while and J-Pow is the best one to do it. Sam's production is top notch with slow motion sequences that really show how each step is done. I saw an element of remounts that I had never considered before and will be putting into practice.

The section on tire pressure is fantastic: a Goldilocks sequence of low pressure, high pressure, and just right.

In short: really well produced, beautiful video quality, and useful training. Well worth the price. I hope they do more!
