We recently reported that pro ‘crosser and reigning Elite world champion Zdenek Stybar is recovering well from a surgery to remove a cyst on his buttocks. Turns out Stybar isn’t the only one putting in so many miles on the bike that his derriere revolts: Sven Vanthourenhout has reported that he too is dealing with a cyst, but is opting for a less invasive healing method. “The doctor advised me to try rest and medication to help the cyst disappear,” said Vanthourenhout.“Friday I go back to the doctor” he continued. “If it has not improved, then I might go under the knife. But if things are going in the right direction and can I get two hours of biking, then I will be at the start of BK in Leuven on Sunday.” Vanthourenhout races for Sunweb Pro Cycling Team and ranked 19th in UCI Points Standings for the 2009/2010 cyclocross season.
