You may remember from back in the off-season (it seems like so long ago!) that Cyclocross Magazine accompanied cyclocrosser-advocate Tim Johnson on his 538 mile Ride on Washington to raise awareness for bike advocacy and raise money for People for Bikes.

The People for Bikes crew has put together a great video featuring not just Johnson, but also cyclocross race announcer extraordinaire Richard Fries, who also was responsible for planning the ride.

At the end of the ride, Johnson reminded everyone that it isn’t just the bike advocates who need to push for bike paths and safer streets. It’s the racers, too.
