Start Lists: 2018 World Cup Waterloo – 32 Americans, 10 Canadians, 3 Australians

Preliminary start lists for Sunday’s World Cup Waterloo are now available.

The fields include many of the world’s top riders, with 13 of the top 20 women in the UCI rankings and 15 of the top 20 men scheduled to start.

The biggest news for the Women’s field is that seven-time world champion Marianne Vos (WaowDeals Pro Cycling) will be making her first U.S. World Cup trip. She joins two-time world champion Sanne Cant (IKO-Beobank) in heading up the Women’s field.

For the Men’s race, the headline is a name that is missing. Mathieu van der Poel is skipping the U.S. trip after his long mountain bike season.

Both the women and men’s U.S. contingents are maxed out at 16 with potential substitutes. Canada has a total of 10 riders, Australia 3 and Sofia Gomez-Villafañe (Pivot Cycles/Maxxis p/b Stan’s/DNA Cycling) will be representing Argentina. Trek-sponsored athlete Evie Richards (Trek Factory Racing) will be starting her cyclocross season early in Waterloo for Great Britain.
