Launched last week and on display at Sea Otter is the new Lauf Grit CX/gravel fork. The Chinese-made aftermarket fork is nothing if not attention grabbing.

The Grit has one setting (stiff) for its carbon leaf springs and offers 30mm of travel. The fork will accommodate tires up to 42mm wide and has a flat mount disc brake caliper mount and will accept a 160mm rotor. The Grit measures 409mm axle-to-crown. Most cyclocross bike forks are at 395mm, but with the fork's 6mm of sag you're close.

The unique fork has a claimed weight of 900 grams and is offered in either 12mm or 15mm thru axle and has a 47mm rake.

The company is talking with OEMs to become official spec on select bikes. When it becomes available as an aftermarket component in August the Lauf will retail for $790 USD.
