This part four of an ever-growing series of 2015 Cyclocross National Championship title-winning bikes. See other 2015 Nationals-winning cyclocross bike profiles here. This is Justin Lindine's one-of-a-kind "prototype" singlespeed Redline Conquest Team carbon cyclocross bike from his dominant victory on the first day of the championships, his second consecutive victory at Nationals in a non-Elite race.

We reviewed the Redline Conquest Team carbon bike in Issue 15 when it came out a few years ago (and have an updated review on the Conquest Flight coming in Issue 28). Lindine’s singlespeed is an old prototype of the same frame that was taken from Redline’s pro shop and is different from production models because it was built without a seatstay bridge—a one-of-a-kind frame for sure.

It’s also unique due to its graphics set, as the logos look to be from a few generations ago, and were applied to the plain black prototype frame and give it a retro look.

Since it was cobbled together for this contest, it had no mate for the pit, so Lindine borrowed a friend’s bike (a different brand) to use as a pit bike in case things went wrong, and was very thankful to have dry, clean conditions and not have to switch to that bike. It would have been a little awkward to cross the line atop a bright blue bike of a different brand, but it shows that Lindine was more focused on the Elite Men’s race that was scheduled for Sunday. When the Elite race did happen on Monday, Lindine finished 10th, a top ten Elite finish for the second year in a row.
