flyer2014_R99We love ’cross in weird places, and Florida in the winter seems like a really strange one to us. But to Florida natives, the sport is growing in leaps and bounds—they even have a dedicated cyclocross park, which is more than many ’cross-heavy states can say. This will be the sixth year having a ’cross race at Little Everglades Ranch in Dade City, Florida, on a ranch located on 2300 acres of beautiful rolling hills. The promoter added, “One of the traditional features is having the race course go through our steeplechase barn each year. We are excited to have Dave Towle announce both days of racing.”

So, if you are tired of sitting on your trainer and shoveling snow, consider heading down to the Florida State Cyclocross Championship on January 18-19, 2014! There are excellent country roads for training and Disney World and Busch Gardens are an hour away. For those of  you dragging the family to Boulder for Nationals, this may be a way to make it up to them. More info at lercx.com
