We asked the front row of men singlespeeders at the 2014 USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championships what gear they were using for the race. Here was the entertaining result:

Notes: Tim Allen, third, raced what was likely the lowest gear of the group, a 36×17, and won the race. Craig Etheridge used a 39×16, and Brady Kappius used a 36×15. Full race report and results here.
