After an early flat, Rob Squire (Felt-Assos) faced a tough road to his third straight Crusher in the Tushar victory. He was able to slowly work his way back to Todd Wells (Todd Wells) and Keegan Swenson (Cannondale 3Rox Racing) and ultimately pass Wells to grab the Cul d’Crush KOM. From there, Wells and Squire raced to the finish before Squire had just enough to finish the final kick strong and take home the win.

I got the opportunity to talk to Squire about his victory and what it was like going for the Crusher three-peat. When I asked him about feeling the pressure of having the number one plate he said, “The Crusher is kind of weird in that it’s one race where I don’t have a lot of pressure on it because I look forward to the event so much. The pressure I put on myself for other races doesn’t really manifest itself. It was almost kind of like a vacation. It’s like I am looking forward to it. I get to go down and do the Crusher this weekend. Sweet! It’s already here.”

There is a lot more great material from Rob in our conversation, so please tune in and enjoy.
