Lately, we’ve been covering the latest tech news, featuring great races, talking summer training and getting in-depth with some great racers. But we realized that with the season coming up quickly, and with cyclocross being the fastest growing field of cycling, there are a lot of new racers out there who have questions on a super basic level. That’s where our intern extraordinaire Mat Shimoko came in with a guide to getting into cyclocross. Since he just started racing cyclocross a year ago and quickly caught the bug, he’s been invaluable as someone who just learned the basics about the who, what, when, where and why of the best sport around.
Our Issue 21 has a great feature on buying your first cyclocross bike, and Issue 22 will have a story on how to get into racing and what to expect at your first race. And for the newest of the newbies, we have our latest addition to the Cyclocross Magazine website, the Frequently Asked Questions page.
We’ll be updating regularly with more questions, and if you have any questions of your own, feel free to let us know in the comments below!
