October 15, 2009; Conshohocken, PA, USA:  October 25th‘s DCCX cyclocross race in Washington DC, part of the BikeReg.com MABRAcross Series, has divulged two distaff initiatives.  Thanks to sponsorship from Whole Foods Natural and Organic Grocers, DCCX will pay fully equal prize shares to the Elite Men and Elite Women divisions.  DCCX organizers have also announced “DCChiX” a women’s only cyclocross clinic to be held the day before the DCCX races.  Organizers have obtained the services of pro racer Arley Kemmerer, winner of the season-opening Ed Sander Memorial, to lead the clinic which is free with a paid entry for the following day’s DCCX.

The DCChiX clinic will be held on the same course as the DCCX.  Date of the clinic is October 24.  Topics for the 90-minute women’s clinic will include mounting/dismounting, cornering, line selection and starts.

Any woman who is registered to race can sign up for the clinic at no extra cost, but only if they send an email request to be included.  To participate, women riders must first pre-register for DCCX through BikeReg.com and then send an email to [email protected].  Riders must send an email to [email protected] in advance in order to be granted access to the active residential grounds for the event.  Questions can be directed to the same email address.
