Brian Matter is the next addition to the U.S. men’s world championship team, sources tell Cyclocross Magazine. Matter joins confirmed members Ryan Trebon and Matt Shriver. Jeremy Powers is also expected to be on the team. The official team announcement is tomorrow.

Last week, Brian said on his blog, “If I don’t get to go to Worlds I will do some epic training rides and then come home and not touch a bike again until the snow melts.” But in the case of good news? “If I do make the team I will train harder than I have all season, fly home, then fly Brussels for one last dance at the big show this season.”

We guess Brian will be training harder than ever. And following a growing trend, sources say he will be making a last-minute switch to Blue Competition Cycles for the rest of his Euro campaign.
