The 2022 Cyclocross World Cup Hulst was disastrous on the first lap for Wout van Aert.

Wout van Aert dropped his chain on a climb into an off-camber. By the time he got it to work again, he had already fallen to 40th position. However, that did not stop him as he powered his way up to fourth place, but the win streak was over in his short season that will end before the 2022 Worlds in Fayetteville.
