The Collegiate Varsity Women and Collegiate Club Women opened the second day of title racing at the 2021 USA Cyclocross National Championships.
The two races were held at 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Thursday morning under overcast skies and near-freezing conditions.
2021 Collegiate Varsity Women Cyclocross National Championship
Katie Clouse of Colorado Mesa, fresh off a top ten at the UCI Cyclocross World Cup in Besancon, France, aced her second Collegiate Cyclocross Nationals exam and defended her 2019 title in dominant fashion.
Anna Christian (SCAD Atlanta) and new U23 Pan Ams Champ Madigan Munro (Colorado Mesa) completed the podium.
In a pandemic-impacted Nationals, attendance was up in the Collegiate Varsity women’s race, with three more starters than 2019.

2021 Collegiate Club Women Cyclocross National Championship
Just four racers took the start to battle for the 2021 Collegiate Club Women’s title at the 2021 Cyclocross Nationals.
Brooke Lyman of Duke University showed that Blue Devil athletes should be known for more than their basketball skills.
Lyman won by three minutes over Tori Glascock (Rutgers) and Abbey Obrien (University of Nebraska).
Collegiate club teams appeared more impacted by the pandemic, as the field size was down from 11 in 2019.
