The rainbow colors of the world champion will be seen in the first match of the BPost Bank trophy, which is the GP Mario De Clercq in Ronse, taking place on October 12th.

As we saw last year at the Ronse, the annual early European race boasts a densely packed field with the best in the world. In 2013, Sven Nys dominated the day by nearly twenty seconds, while Martin Bina edged Niels Albert. Although Albert will be missed, the addition of Štybar should spice things up for the competition.

Winner of the U23 world championships, Wout Van Aert will also add to the deep field, which should also include Lars van der Haar, Tom Meeusen , Klaas Vantornout, Sven Nys and Kevin Pauwels.

According to Vardaros, Štybar will also be looking forward to racing Ardooie just after Ronse.
