Wietse Bosmans (BKCP Powerplus), after suffering from Lyme disease last season, took a commanding win at the 2015 UCI C1 Qiansen Trophy cyclocross race in Yanqing County, China and in doing so made a big deposit into his empty UCI points bank account.

Cyclocross Magazine’s Andrew Reimann, fresh off his own race chasing Bosmans and the rest of the field, caught up with Bosmans to learn more about the young Belgian’s comeback from illness and his outlook for this season.

Some Americans may remember Bosmans for the show he put on at the barriers on his way to a silver medal in the U23 race at the 2013 Cyclocross World Championships in Louisville.
