Virginia Cyclocross Series Ready to Kick Off

The Virginia Cyclocross Series kicks off this weekend with the Richmond Festival of Cross hosted by the Altius Cycling Team. Saturday, October 11th will be held at Chimborazo Park and Sunday October 12th will be held at Bryan Park. These venues have hosted cross races for years and are completely different with Chimborazo having significant elevation changes and Bryan Park being flat and fast. There is a $1000 purse for A Men each day, with cash for A Women and prizes for the others. There will also be a one lap time trial on Saturday afternoon factoring into overall Omnium winners for the weekend who will receive an engraved cowbell for their efforts.
