Christine Vardaros caught up with Stephen Hyde after his race to finish 23rd at the 2016 Cyclocross World Championships in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium.

“I really wanted to have a good start after the last time I flatted out of the front group.”

“I started to blow a bit, I lost a lot of spots, but I’m still happy.” -Stephen Hyde

Hear how the new American cyclocross felt about his race, as he caught his breath, in the interview above. (Forgive moments of blurriness due to the wet camera conditions).

Notes: Hyde used a Challenge Limus in the front, and Grifo in the back to tackle the ever-changing course conditions. At Nationals, he was trying a prototype compound from Challenge.
