Although we think cyclocross is undoubtedly the most spectator-friendly form of bicycle racing, it’s relatively rare for cyclocross races to come down to the final turn and be won by inches.

Cyclocross fan Rick Dalton shared a few of his mobile phone videos of the Elite Men’s racing in Rochester on Sunday with CXM, and his low-res, slow-mo video of the final turn in the men’s race is definitely worth a watch. It’s impressive to see the three leaders aggressively dive into the final corner before the finish.


 

As is often said in criterium racing, the first one through the final corner wins, and on Sunday, it proved to be the case, by a few inches:
