While the GP Mario de Clercq didn’t deliver the last lap mano o mano battle between the last two World Champs, it did provide plenty of race drama and lead changes.

While Wout van Aert dealt with no less than two dropped chains. Despite rumors of testing an American chain guard, it didn’t look like van Aert opted for it today.

Meanwhile, a patient Mathieu van der Poel looked like he was well on his way to victory, until a broken pedal stopped his progress and forced him to run and one-leg pedal his way to the pits.
