Last year, the UCI changed the qualifying rules for entering a UCI Cyclocross World Cup event, allowing for anyone in the top 50 ranking in the world to garner an automatic bid. This year, another stipulation was added, allowing the USA to double the amount of their competitors from eight to 16.

Update: Women have 17 ready to race in CrossVegas, but so far the USAC has only selected 15 male riders, with Tobin Ortenblad unintentionally left off the initial announcement.  The USA technically had 16 spots for men, 18 for women, a qualifying woman and man each declined their spots, and USA Cycling was not allowed to fill those spots by UCI rules.

Automatically qualifying for the Elite Men are James Driscoll, Zach McDonald, Jonathan Page, Jeremy Powers, Danny Summerhill and Curtis White.

For the Elite Women, the automatic qualifiers are Crystal Anthony, Kaitlin Antonneau, Katie Compton, Georgia Gould, Arley Kemmerer, Rachel Lloyd, Courtney McFadden, Meredith Miller and Erica Zaveta.
