In its ninth year, Rochester Cyclocross delivered the first two races of the Professional Cyclocross Calendar (Pro CX) this last weekend. As the first U.S. UCI cyclocross races of the season, Rochester Cyclocross certainly had some serious racing.

On Saturday, Kaitie Antonneau (Cannondale p/b CyclocrossWorld.com) battled with Maghalie Rochette (LUNA Pro Team), who would eventually need a bike change putting her off the podium, to take the C1 women’s win. Jeremy Powers (Aspire Racing) outpowered his competition to take the win in the men’s field. Day 2 saw redemption for Caroline Mani (Raleigh Clement), while Powers repeated his win for Day 2 by winning a tight sprint finish.

But a weekend like Rochester is about more than just UCI racing, and we like to see what fans and racers of all ability all are talking about throughout the weekend.
