The ChainStay and RENNER Clothing Sponsor Gabby Day
The ChainStay and RENNER Clothing are pleased to announce their support of British cyclocross racer Gabby Day. “Gabby is a very talented ’cross rider, and when the opportunity came to sponsor Gabby this winter, I was more than happy to bring in support,” says Gregg Germer, owner of The ChainStay. “Gabby will be staying at our cycling guest house in Oudenaarde, Belgium, giving her a perfect logistical and support base for this ’cross season. Best of all Gabby has a great group of sponsors behind her this year.”
The 2010/11 ’cross season will see Gabby riding Scott Addict cross frames fitted with SRAM components and finished with Ritchey parts and TRP brakes. Northwave, For Goodness Shakes, Squirt Lube and Qoleum have all come on board to help Gabby this winter.
“Following strong performances with the Horizon Fitness team on the road and a Welsh Mountain bike title, Gabby’s cyclocross season is looking to be one of her best. Her racing schedule will include several World Cups, a host of UCI races in Belgium and the British National Cyclocross Champs. After four years on the podium at the Nationals we want to see her in the champs jersey come January,” says Gregg.
“I can see this being an awesome year. I have great bikes from Scott kitted out with great components from SRAM and Ritchey and a wonderful place to stay with support from Gregg and co at ‘The ChainStay.’ All this has given me the enthusiasm I need to do my best!” says Day.
