The UCI racing season in New England kicked off today at the Green Mountain Cyclocross Weekend in Williston, Vermont. The calendar is packed this season and the first victories were taken by local hero Amy Dombroski (Crankbrothers Race Club) and visiting Frenchman Nicolas Bazin (Team Big-Mat Auber 93). Day 1 of Green Mountain was won by Justin Lindine and Crystal Anthony.
Wow, mid August is upon us and that can only mean one thing, pulling out the practice barriers, heading to the local park and getting our hup on! Since she started racing in 2006, Amy Dombroski has had a remarkable rise to fame. She’s also been a great contributor to Cyclocross Magazine. Lately, she’s been prepping for the fall season, mixing it up at various road and mountain bike events, most recently the back to back World Cup races in Dalby Forest and Offenburg. Lucky for us at Cyclocross Magazine, she had a few hours in a car this weekend, giving her time to answer our questions between races.
