On the eve of one of the first classic races of the season, the Vlaamse Industrieprijs Bosduin at Kalmthout, racers in Belgium stretched their legs at the Soudal GP Neerpelt.
Sven Nys showed that being 37 years of age is no detriment, winning ahead of current World Champion Niels Albert in a sprint to the line. Nearly thirty seconds behind, Klaas Vantornout finished third, with Dieter Vanthourenhout, Kevin Pauwels, and Bart Wellens coming in seconds after.
In the women’s race, Great Brittain’s Nikki Harris took top honors ahead of Pavla Halikova and Sanne Cant. Just missing out on the podium was American Amy Dombroski.
