Although the new 2011 Redline Conquest Pro SS won’t be available for mass consumption until early December, if you happen to be in Seattle this coming weekend for a certain quest for the Golden Speedo (i.e. SSCXWC 2010!), you can sneak a peak of one underneath defending women’s champ Kari Studley. According to Tim Rutledge of Seattle Bicycle Supply, Redline’s distributor, Studley has been aboard the frameset ever since they brought it back from Interbike – apparently she’s motivated to keep her title.

Similar to the Conquest Pro, its singlespeed cousin features Redline’s R6 aluminum tubing throughout, which Rutledge describes as “a high-strength, butted 6000 series aluminum with a tensile strength 33 percent higher than 6061,” a 1 1/8” carbon fork with an alloy steer tube and 130mm spaced rear dropouts. Unique to the SS model are the horizontal dropouts with steel inserts.

The frame will retail for $399, or $529 with the RCT fork. There has been no word of complete bike options as yet. The frame will be available in seven sizes, from a 44 (51cm top tube) to a 60 (60cm top tube).
