I was going to buy a 2013 one but my local useless distributor wouldn't do any work on getting one for me...
Redline Shows Off New Conquest Team and Conquest Disc Brake Cyclocross Bikes for 2014
Back at Sea Otter, we took a look at the 2014 Redline Conquest Pro cyclocross bike with MSD Interchangeable Dropouts, and now it’s ready to be officially unveiled. But not until yesterday did we see the Redline’s Conquest Team bike, which received a refreshing makeover for the upcoming 2013-2014 season and will be piloted through the races by Redline team rider Justin Lindine and Erica Zaveta. While we previously saw the 2014 Conquest Pro at Sea Otter, but this was our very first look at the Conquest Team. The nude carbon finish was left visible beneath the clear coat, and red accents distinguish it from the increasingly popular all-black paint schemes.
For $4699, the Conquest Team is available complete with Shimano Ultegra Di2 10-speed componentry, an FSA aluminum Energy crankset, TRP Revox brakes, and a tubeless-ready wheelset. Adding to the versatility, the fork is available with mounts for either disc, or cantilever brakes. If you buy the complete bike, it comes with TRP Revox canti brakes, not discs, but with a fork swap, switching to disc is a snap.
The frameset, which includes the fork, headset, and seat collar is available for $1599. The dropout spacing is 130mm, but their MSD dropout system can be used to accommodate 135mm spacing as well, which keeps wheelset options wide open.
Justin Lindine, who’s been riding the Redline Conquest in various iterations for years, and Redline’s newest addition, Erika Zaveta, will be racing the new bikes this season. We look forward to seeing this machine in action this fall!
We also took another look at the Conquest Disc, an aluminum, Tiagra-equipped cyclocross bike with a compact crankset and semislick tires. This entry-level disc bike should prove attractive to cyclocross racers, commuters and gravel riders.
