The second round of the BPost Bank Trofee series took racers to the famed 22% Tour of Flanders climb, the Koppenberg.

Jolien Verschuren (VZW Young Telenet Fidea) put on a climbing clinic, out-motoring her rivals on the twisty and hilly course. In the Elite Men’s race, Wout van Aert (Vastgoedservice-Golden Palace) opened an insurmountable gap on the slopes of the Koppenberg and was able to stay clear to win by a large margin.

CXM contributor Bart Hazen was on hand to capture all the action. Use the slider below to check out his photos, and be sure to check out our Elite Men’s and Elite Women’s race reports for video highlights and a full recap of all the day’s racing.

The race stayed together early on, but the 22% grade of the Koppenberg soon strung things out. © Bart Hazen
