The racing in Ronse today was “proper cyclocross racing,” complete with terrifying technical features that even the most seasoned elite racers were finding difficult to maneuver, even running downhill on occasion. Pro racers in the US watched the live feeds this morning with serious mud envy, and in Ronse, it was Nikki Harris and Sven Nys who emerged the victors of their respective races.

In the women’s race, Harris was followed by Helen Wyman, who we’re betting was thrilled to finally see mud after the bone-dry courses she’s been racing in the early season in the US, and Belgium’s Sanne Cant took home third.

For the men, the World Champion took the win by almost 20 seconds, but was followed by Czech racer Martin Bina and Belgian Niels Albert.
