Dottignies, Belgium – Belgian Champion Niels Albert continued his strong season Saturday, adding another win to his palmares at the GP Dottignies.

While “King” Albert, as he is also mentioned in the circuit, dominated the race from start to finish, the battle for second was more interesting as about eight riders contested the second podium spot, including World Champion Zdenek Stybar, French Champion and last year’s winner Francis Mourey, Radomir Simunek, Rob Peeters, Dieter Vanthourenhout, Mariusz Gil, Tom van den Bosch and Jonathan Page.

Stybar eventually won the sprint for second over Radomir Simunek. Jonathan Page had an excellent ride finishing in eighth place. Sunday is the second round of the GvA trofee in Ronse and another big race on the calendar.
