Snow and ice early in this year’s National Championships led to plenty of mud as the week progressed – and through it all, riders pushing the pace and fighting position on the difficult conditions made for crashes galore. The best lines may have often been along the edges of the course, but that’s also where the course tape and stakes were, as many would discover – including Elite podium contenders Ryan Trebon and Nicole Duke.
