Marianne Vos, Lars van der Haar take 2013 Dutch National Titles – Full Results

HILVARENBEEK, THE NETHERLANDS – Marianne Vos (Rabobank-Giant), in an expected display of dominance, rode away from her competitors today to take the Dutch national title for the third consecutive year. Sanne van Paassen (Rabobank-Giant) came in a distant second, followed by Sabrina Stultiens.

In the men’s field, Lars van der Haar (Rabobank-Giant) made an early escape from Lars Boom (Blanco Pro) and Thijs van Amerongen (AA Drink). The anticipated duel between Boom and 21-year-old van der Haar for the title – which Boom has held for six consecutive years – never materialized as van der Haar  powered across the course in the lead and never looked back. By the mid-point of the race, the young Rabobank rider had a thirty second gap, leaving Boom and van Amerongen to battle it out for second, with Boom coming out on top.

David van der Poel won in the U23 category, and his brother Mathieu van der Poel won in the junior’s.
