The 3 Peaks cyclocross race, already more than a half-century old, is one of the most iconic cycling events that require bike shouldering. Certainly there is plenty of suffering between heavy climbs both on and off the bike, and the descents are not only treacherous, but are massively fatiguing on the upper body. The consolation? The race offers some of the best views, giving racers three separate peaks to survey the landscape around them.

Andy Ward, was able to give the report on the lessons learned from a beginner’s point of view, and two members of the cxmagazine.com racing team offered full race recaps along side a comprehensive results listing.

Today, we offer a race video posted to YouTube by Ruben Sano, who was able to capture the rides at multiple locations of the event and allow the viewers at home to get a filtered view of the race without the pain of climbing.
