KOKSIJDE, Belgium – Round three of the World Cup in Koksijde gave up-and-coming stars a chance to prove their mettle on the course’s signature sand sections and varied terrain. In the U23 category Belgium’s Eli Iserbyt claimed the victory, just edging out fellow countrymen Daan Hoeyberghs at the line. Belgian rider Daan Soete took third place, 20 seconds down on the leaders.

Logan Owen of the US finished in ninth place, just 55 seconds down while fellow Americans Richard Jansen and Curtis White finished 21st and 23rd respectively. Grant Ellwood, also representing the US in Koksijde finished 36th.

In the junior’s category Dutch rider Jens Dekker beat out Belgium’s Jappe Jaspers and fellow Dutch rider Mitch Groot. Representing the American team, Gage Hecht finished 21st followed by Eric Brunner in 41st and Evan Clouse in 43rd.
