Last year we saw Michael van den Ham and Craig Richey, riders for the Garneau – Easton p/b Transitions LifeCare cyclocross team dip their toes in the gravel waters at the Land Run 100, Dirty Kanza 200 and other races.

This year, Easton is making its commitment to gravel more formal with the launch of the Easton Overland Gravel Team.

Joining Van den Ham and Richey on the team will be 2018 Gravel Worlds runner-up Amity Rockwell, 2016 Zwift Academy winner Leah Thorvilson and former pro triathlete Matt Lieto.

The new team will be targeting both national gravel events as well as those closer to home. First up for the full team will be next weekend’s Land Run 100, where Van den Ham finished second in 2017.

Easton’s Overland Gravel Team features partnerships with a number of companies. Foremost among them is Allied Cycleworks, which is the team’s bike sponsor. Team riders will be riding the company’s Alfa All Road frameset. [You can read our review of the Alfa All Road]
