SURHUISTERVEEN, NETHERLANDS – Just three days before World Cup in Rome, Dutch riders swept both the Elite Men’s and Elite Women’s podiums on their home turf. Lars van der Haar (Rabobank Development Team) topped the men’s race followed by Thijs van Amerongen (AA Drink Cycling Team) and Mike Teunissen (Rabobank Development Team).

In all, seven out of the top ten riders were Dutch, with similar results on the women’s side. Marianne Vos (Rabobank Liv/Giant) claimed the win, with Yara Kastelijn (RTC Buitenlust) in second and Lucinda Brand finishing third. Eight of the top ten women also claim the Netherlands as their home country.
