The UCI Mountain Bike World Cup hit North America via the long-standing Mont Saint Anne location in Quebec last weekend. While France’s Julien Absalon and Canada’s Catharine Prendel took decisive wins, prominent cyclocrossers battled for and landed podium spots in both the men’s and women’s races.

With cyclocross just over a month away, was the Canadian race a peek into who will tear it up on the ‘cross course when the temperature starts to drop?

We’ve got exclusive photos of the top cyclocrossers on fat tires at Mont Saint Anne from our star photographer, Joe Sales.

Also worth noting are the performances of USA’s CX Worlds Team members Eric Emsky in 10th and National Champion Zach McDonald in sixth.
