Amanda Nauman of SDG-Muscle Monster swept Women’s Elite C2 races at North Coast Gran Prix of Cyclocross in Cleveland, Ohio. The American rider solo’ed away to win Sunday’s six-lap race in a time of 44 minutes and 46 seconds. Runner-up for the second time this weekend, Jenna Blandford (USA) of Women’s Project Pedal p/b VO2 was 28 seconds back. Finishing third, 54 seconds back, was Laura Winberry (USA) of Speedvagen Family Racing.

Under sunny skies, Nauman once again took off on the first lap of the technical circuit in Kirtland Park, establishing a gap of seven seconds on Windberry after one lap. Continuing to push the pace, Nauman had a comfortable lead of 28 seconds by the end of the third lap and sailed on to victory. The 28-year old American claimed her second win in this year’s USA Cycling Professional Cyclocross season. Blandford and Windberry duked it out for the next three laps with Blandford managing to drop her competitor and continue solo for second-place.

Drew Dillman (USA) of Cyclocross Network Racing claimed back to back victories at the North Coast Gran Prix of Cyclocross in Cleveland, Ohio this weekend. Dillman crossed the finish line of the 10-lap race with a time of hour, minutes and seconds. Five seconds back was American Jonathan Page of Page/Fuji for a repeat second place and a fifth top-five finish in this year’s USA Cycling Professional Cyclocross season. Finishing third, 25 seconds back was Tristan Cowie (USA).

Though the first two steps of the podium were the same, Sunday’s race unfolded very differently to the previous day of racing. Page went to the front early in the race in Kirtland Park, splintering the field behind him. Dillman, Cowie and Spencer Petrov (USA) of Cyclocross Alliance all stayed close and give chase. Inside of two laps to go, Dillman and Page were dueling out at the front with Cowie giving chase. Dillman attacked on the final lap to take his second win of the weekend.

Next weekend Pro CX races will be held in Jamesburg, NJ with the HPCX and in Mason, OH with the Cincinnati – KingsCX. The Pan Am Continental Cyclocross Championships, will also be held next weekend in Covington, KY, and do not award Pro CX points,
