Cycling is a colorful sport and, no, we don’t mean the cross-dressing racers and bikini-clad spectators kind of colorful. There are certain items, with a signature color, that are among the most revered symbols of our sport. The yellow jersey, the rainbow stripes, the lantern rouge – iconic images of our sport that evoke powerful memories and emotions about the tradition of history and cycling. And when considering the machines that we share our sport with, there is no color more respected than the celeste green of Bianchi.

While recent offerings may use the traditional Bianchi color as more of an accent on its frames, along with rainbow stripes for the Italian company’s many world championships, there is still no doubt about the heritage behind these bikes. Since the Volpe, arguably one of the first race-worthy production ’cross bikes, released in the mid-80s, Bianchi has come a long way. The 2011 Cavaria and Zurigo are the latest offerings from Bianchi, giving racers both carbon and aluminum options.
